Which income other than earnings affects UC?

Only certain types of unearned income affects UC entitlement. Such income is deducted from UC £1 for £1.

If a type of income is not specifically listed in the Regulations as income to be taken into account, it is disregarded when calculating UC.

Retirement Pensions

If a claimant has income from Retirement Pensions this can reduce the amount of Universal Credit they are entitled to.

Other unearned income

If a claimant has unearned income this can reduce the amount of UC they are entitled to.
