Mixed Age Couples and Universal Credit


This E-Learning course gives learners the important details about Mixed Age Couples and Universal Credit.

This course will give learners an understanding of which Mixed Age Couple are 'protected' so can stay on/ claim Pension Credit and/or Housing Benefit, what happens when a couple become a Mixed Aged Couple, the special rules that apply to Mixed Aged Couples on Universal Credit, and what happens when they become a State Pension age couple.

It replaces our previous courses on Mixed Age Couples and focuses more on Universal Credit.

Transitional Element: Erosion and Loss


This E-Learning course looks at the UC Transitional Element - why someone might have one in their UC award, and how it can be eroded over time or lost altogether.

This course will give learners an understanding of what the Transitional Element was for, the circumstances in which it might be eroded and the impact on the claimant's UC award, and the changes that will mean the claimant loses it altogether.
