Blended Learning: EEA Nationals and UC


This Blended Learning combines an E-Learning course with an online Workshop and concentrates on what happens to those EEA Nationals in the UK who are not eligible for full Settled Status in terms of the benefits they can receive following Brexit.
Can they secure their financial situation and sustain their tenancies?


WORKSHOP PLAN:

What are Settled Status and Pre-Settled Status?
Who can still apply to the EUSS?
Which EEA Nationals can claim UC?
What if they are still awaiting a decision of their application to the EUSS?
Who needs a 'qualifying Right to Reside' to claim UC -and what are the routes to this?
Non-EEA National 'family members' : those who were living in the UK before Brexit and those arriving as 'joining family members'
Difficulties claiming UC and how to overcome them
EEA Nationals who cannot claim UC: what help might be available for them?


Led by experts, this workshop is one in our range of online workshops that explores the detail of current Universal Credit 'hot topics'.

Designed to be engaging, informative and interactive, the workshop enables participants to gain a deeper understanding of the topic area.

Following completing the E-Learning course (2-4 hours) you will attend an online workshop (3 hours), and will include a presentation, Q&A session, exercises to reinforce learning, discussion of useful tools and an action plan.

With a maximum of 16 on each workshop, participants have the opportunity to delve into some of the current issues affecting UC claimants so that they are able to offer appropriate help and advice.
