Monthly Quiz: May 2023

This month it was all about UC and the Bedroom Tax.

Question:
Why not enter our competition and possibly win a donation for your local food bank?

The winner will be selected at random and can nominate a food bank of their choice to receive a £50 donation from us, and they will also receive a FREE place on our June Conference.

To enter this month's competition, just email your entry to us by Friday 19th May for your chance to win.

This month's competition question:

When a Universal Credit claimant's dependent child is being 'looked after' by the local authority, no Child Element is included in their UC.

However, when calculating the Housing Costs Element (number of bedrooms needed by the household) the child is included for the first 6 months of a temporary absence, as long as they were included in the claimant's Universal Credit assessment immediately prior to being looked after.
