Blended Learning: EEA Nationals and UC - for Income Teams

From 1st July the rules for EEA Nationals accessing welfare benefits changed – are you up to date?
What can landlords / advisers do to prevent or alleviate risks to rental income?
This Workshop explains the financial risks landlords face due to changes to EEA Nationals' rights to live, work and claim benefits in the UK.
We will consider which EEA Nationals can claim UC, and what problems they may face, as well as the rules for those EEA Nationals still waiting to hear about their application to the EU Settlement Scheme.

This course is designed for Income Teams and those that support tenants to pay their rent. It is for staff at all levels.

WORKSHOP PLAN:

Which EEA Nationals can claim UC and the common problems they face
The EU Settlement Scheme - rules about UC and 'pending' & 'late' applications
What an EEA National getting Extra Statutory Payments has to do to secure ongoing entitlement
Why an EEA National's UC award may stop
Issues for couples
