Blended Learning: The Benefit Rules for EEA Nationals and Risks to Rental Income

From 1st July the rules for EEA Nationals accessing welfare benefits are changing – are you up to date?
What can landlords / advisers do to prevent or alleviate risks to rental income?
This Workshop explains the financial risks landlords face due to current and future changes to EEA Nationals' rights to live, work and claim benefits in the UK..
We will consider how an EEA National can secure their rights to Universal Credit and retain their rights over time.

An ideal course for experienced advisors, managers and those involved in policy/processes.
Note – this workshop does not cover eligibility for a social housing allocation itself or immigration issues.

WORKSHOP PLAN:

EEA eligibility for UC – current rules
The EU Settlement Scheme
Right to reside rules and relation to benefits
