Housing Systems: Combating poverty and sustaining tenancies.

Calculating Universal Credit

Need to know how to work out how much UC a claimant is entitled to?

"This course made me realise how many claimants are probably missing out - I can see how the knowledge I have gained today is going to make a real different to my tenants."
This full-day session is packed full of useful information, hints and tips.
This Blended Learning Programme builds on delegates’ existing knowledge of Universal Credit. It focuses on how Universal Credit is calculated and highlights the areas where claimants could be missing out.
By the end of the programme delegates will be able to calculate UC, ensure that the claimants they support are getting paid the correct amount of UC, give accurate advice on maximising entitlement, and understand how changes in circumstances / fluctuating earnings affect the amount awarded.

It aims to give learners the knowledge and confidence to help their tenants / clients.

Devised especially for those staff who have a basic knowledge of Universal Credit and are now ready to delve into the complexities of the system that they need to know for their job.

This course aids learning by using case studies and discussion.
