The DWP often wrongly refuse a back payment quoting the one month change in circumstances rule. But these do not always apply.

As well as exploring why the DWP doesn't always back pay a claimant when they should, we will look at:

• The rules around revisions, supersessions and changes in circumstances.
• What the 'relevant benefit' rules are and when they should apply
• The more common missing back payments
• How to challenge the DWP's decision not to back pay
• What time limits may apply
