Get to grips with the tricky bits!
In this webinar we delve into the rules governing when a UC claimant's Transitional Element will be eroded or lost altogether.
Understanding these rules is crucial to providing the best and accurate advice to UC claimants whose UC award includes a Transitional Element if they are having a change in their circumstances.
Some claimants may not receive the increase in their UC award that they were expecting (and need).
Others could lose their Transitional Element altogether, sometimes months after a change.
Find out more about:
- The impact of retrospective changes
- Swapping from LCW Element to Carer Element, or Carer Element to LCWRA Element
- Becoming entitled to a Housing Costs Element
- 'Hits' and 'splits', and what happens if one member of a couple dies, or is away from home e.g. in prison or hospital
- When a drop in earnings, including reducing down to Statutory Sick Pay, could end the TE
- Special considerations for self employed workers
- Why it is important for claimants with savings to keep them below £16,000.
