Rachel is our longest standing employee and is our Research and Administrative Assistant. She has been with us since 2010. Outside of Housing Systems she is a full time Psychology student, she thoroughly enjoys her studies and loves to travel to new and exciting places.
Julia Service, Managing Director, has nearly 30 years' experience in the housing sector. Starting out as a housing benefit assessor she moved into housing management before becoming a benefits adviser and trainer. She enjoys going to music gigs with her two daughters
Glenys Harriman is a founding Director of Housing Systems. She has worked in a variety of benefits adviser roles within Housing Associations and CAB. She is a qualified teacher and started out teaching remedial maths. Any spare time she has she spends gardening and playing with her granddaughter
Jane Crawford, Training and Development Manager, has spent over 20 years dealing with benefits within a variety of roles - ranging from working for the DWP (then Benefits Agency), to a Benefits and Income Adviser for a large Housing Association. She enjoys baking cakes and Zumba (to offset the cakes!).
Jill Dearden is our Operations Manager. Before working at Housing Systems she worked in the voluntary sector mostly in children's educational charities, leaving behind a background in marketing and business in the financial services industry. She is a qualified trainer, and a keen cyclist.
John Thorpe, Advice and Training Co-ordinator, has worked in a benefits advisory setting since the late 1990s. John was a welfare rights officer for 16 years before joining Housing Systems. In his spare time he enjoys holidaying with the family, reading, playing guitar and cycling around Lancashire!
Jennifer Smith is our Research and Development Officer, joining us straight from university. She is new to the housing and benefits scene so is taking full advantage of our resources and growing in enthusiasm for the field daily. Outside of work she enjoys being outdoors and socialising.
Janet Morley works for us as a Trainer. She has a wealth of housing and benefits experience. She is a qualified Housing Manager, and has worked as a benefits adviser both for a large housing association and Macmillan CAB. She enjoys travelling to unusual places.
